Hoping is Coping

No one really knows  how future ships would look or how they would be designed. Definately, they'll be different from what we see today. But there's something about ships that never change -- the anchor. This anchor helps every ship from crashing into rocks. The anchor helps stop ships from getting too close to the shore of a beautiful island. Anchors of every ship are unchanging. The same could be said of hope burning within people.

Alhtough people are always people, we go through the same struggles, temptations, joys, cliffs to jump, oceans to cross, and mountains to conquer; we all go through a moment of hoping.

Hope isnt just about being optimistic  and assured of a promise, nor is it just an ambition. Hope is doing your part for something or someone you love. Hope is protecting love until you're destined to have it because fear is the heart of love. It isnt just presumptuous assurance, its something we'll all have to take on. Its faith withing fear; its beauty within burden.

>Just like love..<

I can think of other analogies - relating lighthouses and foghorns to those who help us find our goals, who warn us away from dangerous temptation...
.
I think that hope is one of the most positive emotions we can feel. The belief that things are going to work out in a way that benefits all. That benefits ourselves. That things will be as they should be.
.
Hope, like faith, can waver. obstructions can diminish or strengthen our resolve. But like a boat on the ocean, we are passing along a well travelled route. And we are not alone. We do have to rely only on ourselves; we can look, and see the lighthouses and hear foghorns. We can see other ships sailing alongside ourselves; the friend-ships, the companion-ships, the relation-ships. All there, and all able to support us if we loose momentum; if our engine fails, if we falter and die in the waters. They will reach out a line, and they will bring us back to safe harbours. They will carry our burdens and bring us back to the warmth of a familier haven, where we can find what it is we need to be right. Where they will help us, with love and infinate kindness.
We are all like boats; be us the smallest dingy or the largest liner. And the ripples of our travelling cross the path of many; and make a difference. Even if the boats fly the flags of different places, faiths. They are boats like us. All searching for the same land. Floating in the waters; not always calm, not always still. But wet. And the unknown below the surface.

M: Grabe (wow), I don't know why, but I'm really smiling because of your comment. One reason why I blog -- to read your opinions (Wooh.. Someone's flattered).

I agree with you. The people around us really are also a source of hope and encouragement. Or, maybe, they could also be the by-product of hope -- the beauty revealed from the burden of merely hoping.

I don't want to make this comment long.. I guess I'll just blog again, huh? Hehe.

Take care, M :D. Thanks for your comment.

Keep keeping on.
