English 1124 -- Poem on Death

That we live by faith and not by sight,

For we die everyday in our sleep.

Do not be distressed by this natural plight,

Our lives were never ours to keep.

He saith, "Don't be confident in the body."
It was never meant  to last.

Be kept secured in his warm glory;

Secured once united, and do not dwell on the past.
